Each of our three guest rooms is imbibed with its own personality by vibrant wallpapers from graphic artist Emma J Shipley, who has partnered with Clarke and Clarke to bring exotic into their wall finishes. From "Amazon" in our Graham Chamber, to "Caspian" featuring the British lion in the Borton Chamber, to "The Lost World" in the McMullan Chamber, a room which remained unfinished for over 80 years. We have created a unique feeling in each room to enhance your stay and overall experience with us.
In addition to your private bedroom and ensuite we invite you to enjoy the Burns Sitting Room and foyer area which contains a kitchenette with an instant hot water tap, complimentary tea and coffee, filtered water and microwave for exclusive in-house guest use.
Our bed and breakfast guests may also enjoy the private rear verandah or pergola which overlooks the stone fountain providing the tranquil sounds of cascading water. Or, grab a book and beanbag and enjoy the beauty and solitude of the sprawling grounds. Casa Nova House is the perfect choice for luxury Oamaru accommodation.
Guest Rooms
Borton Chamber
Named after prominent Maerewhenua run holder John Borton who owned Casa Nova house from 1875 to 1911. Located in the Noble Wing, the Borton Chamber features a king sized bed and a large Oamaru stone feature wall with LED lighting so you can immerse yourself in the historic nature of Casa Nova House.
Check in is from 3pm and check out is prior to 10:30am. The nightly rate is for two guests. All rates include a daily, gourmet European-style breakfast for two.
McMullan Chamber
In the 1930s Casa Nova House was sold to James McMullan (a goldminer working in Queenstown) and his wife Helen, who lived there with their eight children until 1961. Located in the Noble Wing, the McMullan Chamber features a super king bed or two king single beds, an Oamaru stone viewing niche and sea views.

Graham Chamber
Christine and Dave Graham bought the property in 1966 after it sat vacant for some years. They restored and altered the house, opening it as a reception venue in 1968. The Graham Chamber features a super king bed or two king single beds and a balcony with sea views. The room is enhanced with a chandelier, private ensuite with large tiled shower and lighting for night time reading.

Terms & Conditions
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations outside 14 days from arrival will be free of charge. Cancellations 7 days from arrival date will be charged 50% of the total booking. Inside 7 days, the booking will be non-refundable.
We understand that these are unprecedented times. Please contact us should you need to change your booking due to COVID-19 or travel restrictions.
Child Policy
The historic nature and layout of Casa Nova House means the first floor is not child friendly, so we only welcome children above the age of thirteen to stay. Children of any age are welcomed as guests for private events and functions in our dining room with supervision. Please contact us if you wish to discuss or have any questions regarding our policy as we take everyone's safety very seriously.
Disabled Access
Unfortunately we are not able to offer disabled access to our guest rooms as these are all located on the first floor which is only accessible by stairs. The building is heritage listed and the staircase cannot be altered. We do have disabled access to our ground floor restaurant and ground floor bathroom facilities.
Housekeeping
To play our part in Conserving for Tomorrow, Casa Nova House has a three night change of linen & towel policy (unless required earlier) to help with the consumption of water and chemical use. Our guest rooms are hygienically cleaned and all linens are changed between guests.
