Rich in character and heritage, the Borton Chamber offers a refined and restful retreat within the Noble Wing of Casa Nova House. A sumptuous king-sized bed provides luxurious comfort, while a striking Ōamaru stone feature wall, softly illuminated with LED lighting, brings the history of the house beautifully into the room.
Thoughtfully appointed for both relaxation and comfort, the chamber combines original heritage character with the contemporary touches expected of a luxury stay.
Named in honour of John Borton, a prominent Maerewhenua run holder who was custodian of Casa Nova House from 1875 to 1911, the chamber celebrates an important chapter in the house's remarkable 165-year history.

Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to arrival will incur no charge.
- Cancellations made 8–14 days prior to arrival will incur a charge of 50% of the total booking value.
- Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival are non-refundable and will be charged at 100% of the total booking value.
Child Policy
Due to the historic nature and layout of Casa Nova House, our guest accommodation is primarily suited to guests aged 18 years and over. Guests under 18 may be accommodated by prior arrangement with the owners. Please contact us before booking to discuss your requirements. Children of all ages are welcome to attend private events and functions held in our ground-floor dining and event spaces when appropriately supervised.
Disabled Access
Due to the heritage status of Casa Nova House, all guest rooms are located on the first floor, which is accessible only via stairs. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer wheelchair or disabled access to the accommodation level, as the original staircase cannot be altered.
However, we do provide disabled access to our ground floor function area and accessible bathroom facilities on the ground level. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and are happy to assist with any questions or alternative recommendations to ensure all guests feel welcome and supported.
Housekeeping
At Casa Nova House, we are committed to doing our part for a more sustainable future. As part of our Conserving for Tomorrow initiative, guest rooms are serviced daily, while bed linen and towels are changed every three nights to help reduce water consumption and the use of cleaning products. Fresh towels or linen are always available earlier upon request — your comfort remains our priority.
All guest rooms are thoroughly cleaned and prepared between stays, with fresh bed linen and towels provided for every new guest, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort and care.
